Annual Nipika Halloween Camp!

Friday October 27 – Sunday October 29

The Annual Nipika Halloween Camp is a not to be missed annual dryland training and fun camp, open to all members of the Toby Creek Nordic Skills Development Club ages 4-18.

Volunteer SIGN UP HERE, it takes a village to raise kids as awesome as ours are. Share the load, kitchen helpers, coaches, and assistants needed.

CAMP SCHEDULE (subject to change): 

Friday, October 27: 

• 4:30 arrival
• 5:15 games, athlete and coach meeting
• 6:00 dinner and game
• 7:30 mantracker
• 10:00 lights out

Saturday, October 28: 

• 7:30 morning run
• 8:00 breakfast and paper bag lunch prep
• 9:30 stretching
• 10:00 start activities (poll bounding, tag, running games, strength, etc.)
• 12:00 lunch
• 1:00 frisbee golf
• 3:30 polar plunge
• BREAK
• 6:00 dinner
• 8:00 talent night
• 10:00 lights out

Sunday, October 29: 

• 7:30 morning run
• 8:00 breakfast and lunch prep
• 9:30 scavenger hunt activity
• 12:00 lunch and pack up and help clean up. (Please note that everyone must stay and help clean up at the end of the camp)
• 12:30 – 1:00 departure

What to bring for training:

• Nordic walking poles (or classic poles) – The club will bring lots of extras if you don’t have.
• Don’t forget your Halloween costume or a fun outfit to wear to the campfire Saturday night.
• Outdoor clothes for all weather/training conditions (shorts and pants, hat, rain gear, cold waether gear etc.)
• Small backpack for packing lunch and drinks
• Water bottle
• Running shoes and indoor/outdoor comfortable/workout gear
• Headlamp
• Bearspray (Tis the season)
• BC Health card number

Accomodations:

• Athletes ages 9+ can pay the $50 Barn accomodation fee, OR they may choose alternative sleeping arrangments same as younger athletes.
• Younger athletes (ages 4-8) need to have a parent or trusted adult available to them all weekend long. With their adult they will need to either, rent a cabin through Nipika, pitch a tent for a small fee to Nipika, park a trailer for a small fee to Nipika, or plan to drive in each day.
